Flatwater paddling on Hall’s Pond.

Halls Pond is state owned, and land along the southern shore is part of Natchaug State Park. A road runs along the northern and northeastern shores, and two homes have been built at the southeastern end of the lake. The area around the 82 acre lake is otherwise forested and undeveloped. The lake has an average depth of 9 feet and a maximum depth of 14 feet.

Because of limited parking we will meet at the commuter lot at Routes 198/44.  Be there at 5:30 please.  The lot is just south of the intersection on the east side of Route 198 (Chaplin Road).   A GPS address that will get you close is 13 Chaplin Rd, Eastford, CT.

Required equipment: PFD, 10-foot length of rope, whistle, headlamp/flashlight
