Cedar Lake Practice

  •  Wednesday, August 23, 2017

    4:00 PM

    Wednesday, August 30, 2017

    4:00 PM

  • Bishop Rd., Chester, CT

  • A casual gathering of paddlers most Wednesdays during the warm months on Cedar Lake in Chester, CT. No formal instruction is offered, but there are often friendly folks willing to help with whatever skills you might be looking to learn or refine. This is a very relaxed environment with much floating about and chatting. People start to show up around 4 pm and most will stay on the water until they get tired, cold, hungry or it starts getting dark. Arrive anytime, we’re easy to find – usually at the far end of the lake. All are welcome.

Paddling is typically followed by a simple Potluck in the parking lot. Bring a chair and a snack to share. On shorter or colder days, we often go for pizza.

Be sure to check the ConnYak Bulletin Board (http://www.connyak.org/cgi-bin/BBS.pl/) the day of the practice — sometimes the session will be cancelled for adverse weather or other reasons.
